Adding a location

Share a spot you've found: name, pin, photos and a few tags. We check it before it goes live.

Found somewhere good? Share it so other filmmakers can use it. It's free and there's no limit.

What you'll need

  • A name and the town or area
  • The pin on the map (the what3words address is optional)
  • At least one photo you took yourself
  • A few vibe tags
  • A description: what's there, where to stand, which way to face, and anything useful to know (light, noise, access)

What happens next

  1. Press Add a location in the header or your profile menu and fill in the form
  2. We check it's not already on Wherish. If it might be, we'll show you the match
  3. The Wherish team reviews it, usually within a few days
  4. You'll get a notification when it's approved and live

You can see and withdraw your submissions from My library while they wait.

What makes a great location

Wherish is for independent filmmakers, so we look for affordable, everyday places that are free to visit or easy to arrange: streets, pubs, parks, canals, industrial corners and hidden gems. Big venues that need a location fee are less useful.

Private spots (Pro)

Pro members can save a spot as private. It goes straight into your library for you and the people you share it with, and isn't reviewed or shown to anyone else.
